The Tipperary County Fleadh Cheoil, Ballina this weekend;
Fri 17th 8pm, Official opening of the Tipperary County Fleadh in Ballina Primary School, and later at 10pm, Trad sesisons in Mill's, Ballina, Molly's Ballina and the Anchor Inn, Killaloe.
Sat 18th, County Fleadh Competitions kick off in Ballina Primary Schools from 10.30am.
The Busking Competition will take place in Ballina from 2pm to 4pm and a later slot that evening (TBC). ALL are welcome to enter the Busking competition, any IRISH TRADITIONAL ARTS performance and generous cash prizes are on offer.
Registration for the Busking competition will take place in Ballina Primary School on Saturday 11am onwards.
Open mic "Fleadh Gig Rig" will be outside Flanagan’s from 7pm onwards and again any IRISH TRADITIONAL ARTS performance is welcome to join in. The winners of the Busking competition will be awarded there, along with some Ceili Band performances.
Trad session’s in Molly’s, Liam O’Riains and Gooser’s from 10pm, ALL MUSICIANS/SINGERS WELCOME.
Sunday 19th starts with Traditional Irish Musical Mass at 11.30am in St Lua’s Church, Ballina, and the competitions continue in the afternoon.
