Boruman Sprint Triathlon will take place this Saturday 13th June between 3-6pm in Killaloe and Ballina bringing many athletes and supporters to Killaloe and Ballina – great advertising for our towns!– the weather is promising to be great and there will be a fantastic atmosphere if you want to come down to watch
BORUMAN Sprint Triathlon is a Triathlon Ireland sanctioned event and has been approved by An Garda Síochána and Clare County Council. In the interest of safety for the athletes, Royal Parade from the Anchor to base of Convent Hill and Church St section of lower Main St outside Jimmy Whelan’s shop will be closed briefly to traffic from 3-6pm. Upper Main St and Bridge St will still remain open for access and a detour will be in place around the town to facilitate traffic over the bridge and to all points around the town.
We will do our utmost to maintain flow of traffic and minimise disruption during the race but would ask anyone travelling to please factor in the diversions when making travel plans and to support this great local event.
Boru Tri Club appreciate the cooperation and support of the local businesses and residents during the race.
Athletes will be walking the plank up to the top of the canal from 2.35pm for the swim, race officially starts at 3pm.
See www.borutriclub.com/boruman for race day info – hope to see you there to support!
