Search for Missing Girl
Killaloe Coast Guard Unit assisted the Gardai, Limerick Marine Rescue, Bunratty Search and Rescue and other search organisation including the Irish Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter 115. Unfortunatly a body was recovered and the body taken to the University Hospital Limerick for identification. Rest in Peace.

Canoeists Reported to be in Difficulty near Killaloe
Killaloe Coast Guard Unit was tasked to a report of 22 Canoeists aged between 9 and 11 in difficulty near Twomile Gate. On investigation the canoeists were from a local Activity Center which had its own rescue boat cover they were escorted to safety and reported that they would not be canoeing again to day as weather conditions were too bad.
