Congratulations to all the Borumen who competed in the Limerick Duathlon today – some amazing times guys in spite of the miserable weather – well done! Our illustrious Chairman Michael Kelly romped home first from the Boru squad (even with a hamstring injury – tough out!! literally running and cycling on water Mike!) He was hotly pursued by Martin Pearl.
All Borumen came in within a few minutes of each other – great performances from Ray Hickey, Paul Dorrell, Dave Egan, Eoin Little and Paul O’Connor on his new mean machine 
A great start to the season.

Sunday spin on tomorrow for those not racing in Limerick Duathlon – usual time of 9am frost and fog permitting.
We hope to bring that time earlier to 8am with the brighter mornings soon hopefully when we see the back of ice and frost.

Sunday Cyclists – meet at Planet Tri at 8.45am – we will be heading out for a nice one tomorrow – options of 35k/50k/60k/70k with the option of an additional 15k home. Bail out points factored in for those who want shorter/lighter, longer and nastier for those who want to push on and faster. See you there.

Boru Tri Club
A clean up of Clarisford Park is arranged for Saturday 21 February from 12-2pm. as regular users of the park we are asked to help out with this. The tasks are general park maintenance, raking, litter collection, branches & leaves, minor fence repair and general upkeep. If you are helping out please bring suitable clothing, footwear, gloves etc and it is anticipated that 2hrs should have the majority of work complete. There was also individual medal success in the Masters race with
-Michael Kelly winning Gold in the O/50 category,
– Ray Hickey winning Bronze O/40 category
-Larry Arthur winning Bronze O/35 category

The senior team continued on their winning ways at the Clare Athletics 4 Mile Road Championships in Kilnaboy on Sunday Feb 15th. Despite this being DERG AC’s first time to field a team at Senior level, the team comprising of Michael Kelly, Ray Hickey, Gary Madden, Larry Arthur didn’t disappoint winning the Silver medal in the Novice race. There was also individual medal success in the Masters race with Michael Kelly winning Gold in the O/50 category, Ray Hickey winning Bronze O/40 category and Larry Arthur winning Bronze O/35 categoryA great day for the club well done to all.
