Boating Season open at Killaloe

Killaloe was tasked by Valentia Coast Guard Station to assist a 32′ hired cruiser that had gone aground on Lough Derg out side navigation channel. The Cruiser had 9 persons on board and was on its way from Killaloe to Garrykennedy. Killaloe Coast Guard checked the craft for any damage and then towed it to deeper water. Busy Easter Week-end

Killaloe Coast Guard was called to assist a hired cruiser that had gone aground outside of the navigation channel on Lough Derg. The Cruiser with 3 persons on board was towed from the rocks and under its own power was escorted to Killaloe.

Speed Boat re floated at Killaloe Marina

Killaloe Coast Guard Unit were tasked to an 18′ Speed Boat that was sinking at its mooring. Killaloe Coast Guard used one on its salvage pumps to re float the Boat.

Up turned Kayak Doonass Co Clare

Killaloe Cosat Guard Unit were called to a report of an upturned Kayak in very fast flowing water at Doonass Co Clare. On Scene were the Garda from Ardnacrusha and Limerick Marine Rescue. The Kayak was recovered and after inquiries it was found that the Kayake had been missing since the day before with no one in it. The search was stood down.
