Rowing Boat Recovery

Killaloe Coast Guard Unit was tasked to recover the six rowing boats from the incident of the 21st. The boats were taken to a nearby marina for collection by the event organizers.

Canoeists Reported to be in Difficulty near Killaloe

Killaloe Coast Guard Unit was tasked to a report of 22 Canoeists aged between 9 and 11 in difficulty near Twomile Gate. On investigation the canoeists were from a local Activity Center which had its own rescue boat cover they were escorted to safety and reported that they would not be canoeing again to day as weather conditions were too bad.

Killaloe Coast Guard Unit was tasked to a report of 22 Canoeists aged between 9 and 11 in difficulty near Twomile Gate. International Regatta Ends in Turmoil

The FISA Rowing Tour was taking place on Lough with participants many of them retired or of mature age. 
Killaloe Coast Guard Unit, Irish Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter, Lough Derg Life Boat, Limerick Marine Rescue,North Tipperary civil Defense, Fire, Ambulance and Garda services were all tasked as  weather conditions suddenly deteriorated causing concern for teams of rowers who remained

Swimmers in Danger on Lough Derg

Killaloe Coastguard Unit and Gardai were tasked to Twomile Gate and Ballina Slip due to a complaint  from the public that Speed Boats traveling at high speed fast in a no wake zone and endangering swimmers.
