The 8 week mindfulness course is a practical programme introducing meditation practices in ways that we can integrate into our everyday lives.
We will explore through mindfulness, how we can begin to interact with our thoughts and emotions in a more compassionate and spacious way. Mindfulness practices can help us meet the difficulties in our lives; anxiety, illness, chronic physical pain, emotional pain. We will learn skills to gently meet difficulties and stress, by being present and accepting of whatever is arising in the body and the mind.
This course is an invitation to practice with a group for two and a half hours each week for 8 weeks, discovering the skills of mindfulness. Home practice is an important part of the programme. To support our training in mindfulness, a commitment to practice at home is strongly encouraged. You will receive handouts and CD’s to support your home practice. There will also be a one full day of mindfulness.
