Great Boruvian turn out at the Shannon swim today as we went back as god intended down the "real" side of the river and it was excellent!- well done who all who participated – no surprises in the results below – great swimmers each and every one!

Well done to all 27 swimmers who took part in the 2014 Shannon Swim. Congratulations to the winners – Open: 1st place – Finn McGeever, 2nd place – Donnacha McGeever, 3rd place – James Lynch. Ladies: 1st place – Amy Killeen, 2nd place – Maeve Scanlon, 3rd place – Majella Scanlan.Masters: 1st place – Rosie Foley, 2nd place – Donnacha O'Sullivan, 3rd place – Gary Madden. Junior: 1st place – Lily O'Brien, 2nd place – Ellen Frahill, 3rd place – Maria Scanlan. A special prize was also awarded to the oldest participant to complete the race: 66 year old Greg Chatfield. A huge thanks to the Coastguard for assisting with the co-ordination of the race and to Noel Bugler and Liam Cleary for their assistance during the race.
