Excellent night out in Liam O'Riain's! Kudos to the musicians! great night out, not easy recognising people without helmets and goggles and lycra but we managed.
Some special awards on the night…
Run Course Record went to Michael Curley Cunningham as the overall phenomenal runner he is!
Beast of a Bikist Award – most beast-like cyclist and for laying down the power from the Sunday Spins went to Colin Byrne.
Half Human Half Fish Award – for sporting hidden gills, and fins between the toes went to Rosie Foley
RoadRunner Award (Speedipus Rex) went to Cathal Murphy for being fleet of foot and frisky of ankle. For every RoadRunner there is ALWAYS a WilECoyote Award – (Carnivorous Vulgaris) – this went in absentia to Bobby Reynolds – no competition between these two of course!
And finally The Dark Side Award – Man of Steel for the Core of Steel for surviving untold torture without breaking or crying – Des O'Donnell.
All in all a great night out!!!

Annual Christmas 10k for Meningitis and East Clare Harriers: Tuamgraney
East clare harriers in conjunction with meningitis research foundation have organized their annual 10k walk/run in Tuamgraney on the 28th December at 12.30pm. Meeting at Teach Ui Bhriain at 12noon for registration. All entrants will be put into a draw to win €100.

Update on the Lake spin – still have high hopes of getting there – so planning it now as THE LAST GASP of 2013. Weather wise Tues is looking ok….so far….and we would aim to be gone early and back by lunchtime-ish so recovery pre-torch run for those doing it will be possible, and time for a pre-night out snooze for those going out for New Year's Eve, it also leaves everyone free on New yrs day to relax!

SUNDAY SPIN TIME – Round 2!
With the greatest intentions we will try and do the route planned for last week but got nixed by the weather – heading to Broadford, out to Blackwater, returning back to OBB.
If the weather is tolerable but not great we can do the short option of bailing out here and return to Killaloe (50k) , if its not as wet as its promising then we can add on the tail and turn right to Castleconnell then back out the main rd for a final sprint home!
