Swimmers thought to be in danger near Killaloe
Killaloe Coast Guard Unit were requested by Valentia NRSC to investigate a 999 call that two persons were seen in the water just below Goosers on the Ballina Side of the R Shannon as there was no boat in the area and the weather conditions were very poor at the time a genuine concerne was expressed by onlookers. After investigation by Killaloe Coast Guard mobile unit it was confirmed that the
Lough Derg Rescue
Killaloe Coast Guard Unit were tasked by Valentia MRSC to an incidend reported by Killaloe Gardai, that they received a report of a dingy with four persons on Lough Derg near Castlelough in distress.
