Congratulations to our former Girl’s Player Maeve Óg O’Leary who earned her 1st, of many it’s hoped!, Senior women’s International Cap in the Ireland vs USA Rugby match at the weekend.
Maeve Óg first started playing rugby with Ballina Killaloe RFC and St. Anne’s Community College only a few years ago and has had a stellar rise through the rugby ranks, earning her 1st Munster cap earlier this year too. She currently plays for Blackrock RFC while in college in Dublin.
Maeve Óg was always destined to be a success on the sporting field having previously competed with Ireland Softball teams, as well as winning All Ireland, Munster and County medals with Ballina Camoige GAA and St. Anne’s CC Camoige.
The new season registration details will be live soon.
Ballina-Killaloe RFC will be utilising the new IRFU Rugby Connect system for player & coach registration.

Congratulations to Maeve Óg O’Leary and Roisin Houlihan who lined out for Munster womens U18’s earlier today in Mullingar at the Women’s 7’s Interprovincials.
Great to have such a strong representation at inter-pro level from our club!
Well done girls!
BKRFC U12 girls travelled to Rockwell on a beautiful Sat morning for a pan Munster blitz, Nos were low , but we gathered a few bodies along the way, as it turned out our girls were very popular by the end of the day to make up other nos !! WE played 3 games v Bruff, Fethard and Bantry bay. Winning 2 and drawing one
Our Girl’s who traveled up to Donnybrook last Sunday 26th February for the Women’s 6N match vs France.
Our U18 girls played their very first competitive match against Abbeyfeale RFC on the 21st January last. Traveling down to Abbeyfeale, the girls put in a strong and committed performance but were ultimately overpowered by a very good and well drilled Abbeyfeale team.
Final score: Abbeyfeale 38 – Ballina-Killaloe 0
Well done to all the girls and best of luck in the future.
