2010 New Year’s Day Swim at Two Mile Gate
The traditional Christmas Day Swim was postponed to New Year’s Day because of adverse weather and ground conditions.
Nevertheless, a large crowd of swimmers braved the icy waters on 1st January 2010 to raise funds for Ballina Killaloe RFC.
Many thanks to the Killaloe Coast Guard Unit for organising the event and for all the volunteers who helped make it a safe and enjoyable day.

Ballina Killaloe RFC U11s at Thomond Park
Ballina Killaloe RFC U11s side were invited to play a match at half time against Thurles in Munster’s St Stephen’s Day Magners League derby game against Connacht at Thomond Park.
Our lads capped a fantastic evening with a hard fought 2-0 win, with two wonderfully taken tries by Jack O’Mahony.
This was a once in a lifetime experience and the occasion will live long in the memories of all players involved.
