Search for Missing Farmer

Killaloe Coast Guard Unit were called to assist in the search for an elderly farmer that went missing at 16:00hrs, near Quinn in Co Clare neighbours, Gardai and civil defence conducted a search of the area, however as darkness set in the Coast Guard Helicopter from Shannon and the Killaloe coast Guard were asked to assist in the search.
The farmer was located by the Irish Coast Guard helicopter

5000 mile Row across the Atlantic

Killaloe Coast Guard wish one of their own the best of luck, Mike Jones, 29, from Cobh, Co. Cork in Ireland, works as the Operations Manager for the University of Limerick Activity Centre. Mike grew up in the historic port town of Cobh and with a fisherman as a father it was inevitable that he would at some stage take to the ocean. Recovery at the Cliffs of Moher

Killaloe Coast Guard were tasked to assist Doolin Coast Guard to recover a female adult from the base of the Ciffs of Moher. Eight members from Killaloe travelled to assist Doolin Coast Guard in an operation that took over four hours to complete and required two members of the Doolin Cllff Rescue team to climb down to the base of the cliff.
